Initial night we arrived as restaurant was closing. They served us broiled simple childrens pasta which was unacceptable. Initially we had a room looking over parking lot. For 500euros a night disappointing. They did switch us though after we complained.

Wonderful relaxing stay! And perfect beach for snorkeling!

Loved the rooms, property and balconies… peaceful and beautiful grounds and location, promoting relaxation, lovely bar with music and great massage staff.

Beds could be softer, food was average.

Lovely hotel but limited, expensive food options!

The hotel and its surroundings are beautiful. We loved the pool area and the serenity of the place, it had a feel of stepping back in time. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were helpful! It was a very relaxing place to stay and we did have a lovely long weekend. The beaches close to the hotel are gorgeous!

It is a bit out of town so not many options around you for food so you are confined to the hotel and the lunch menu is expensive. The food was good but simple and could have been much more affordable for what it was, especially compared to other hotels and restaurants in the area. The bar staff were very helpful and attentive though. Dinner was ok but again very expensive (fine dining style costs) for what you get. We were sat inside where the breakfast buffet usually is and the whole room felt a bit awkward and quiet. We ate in town for the other nights though and loved it! A taxi to town will cost EUR20 each way.

Great for a peaceful holiday or working remotely as I was.

Great staff, great location with a beautiful little beach only a few metres away from the hotel and pool. Peaceful.

Struggling to find anything, my room was a bit small and the communal areas need a little more colour. Nothing else!

Hotel Cala Caterina is a perfect place to relax and enjoy the Sardinian sun and see.

Location of the Hotel is fabulous. It is great that sun beds are for free. The Hotel has a spacious garden, with nice trees and plants. There are two restaurants, one is for breakfast and dinner and the other for the rest of the day.

We could smell a musty smell in the room, bathroom needs renovation. Massage was more expensive than stated in catalog.

A great hotel ruined by its food and grumpy waiters

The hotel has fantastic facilities, the beach is very clean and safe, the pool and landscapes are well maintained, the rooms are spacious but could use with a minor refresh. The reception and bar staff were very good and helpful, quite the opposite of the restaurant staff.

Breakfast was good, lunch was OK, and dinner was consistently bad. The chef was trying too hard with the menu, fillet with chocolate sauce was the worse offender, we struggled every day to find something we like (and we are not fussy eaters). They offer two menus, the a-la-carte and the special menu, you're not allowed to mix from both even when you offer to pay them over two separate bills. The restaurant staff are good except for the the waiter with the glasses, unfortunately for us he was the one serving us the most and he never explains the dish to you, he just serves it, I think he must have been feeling very stressed because he was rude to us for our entire stay, luckily enough there are good restaurants outside the hotel so our vacation wasn't ruined by him, and the superb bar and reception staff means this is something that is not normalised in the hotel, just one bad apple ruining it for everyone.

Excellent

Everything was great. Beautifully appointed, excellent staff. We had a nice terrace with a sea view and beautiful new bathroom.

The price. Compared to other hotels, not the best value for money but otherwise perfect.

Excellent location, food and facilities that are a hard combination to beat.

The location, the service and the accommodation were excellent. Add on top of that the delicious half board breakfast and dinner, and it was a winning combination.

Great hotel for a quiet , restful break

Lovely small hotel. Fantastic breakfast - best I have ever had in Italy ! Great that the hotel had good WiFi and this actually included the beach .

Restaurant was good but all meals including lunch around the pool were very expensive .

Superb location, lovely place, great relax, so quiet! Great pool and terrace, lovely to have a drink outside and with the piano bar Very nice staff in all sectors Nice room with jacuzzi Great breakfast again in the terrace A superb dessert Surely I forgot something Sorry for that )

All was perfect I can say that the beach was nice and the water so clear there but quite small and there are better ones to visit closeby The restaurant was good but not amazing A bit prized... was not full in fact but was nicer for us

Staff very so friendly. Food & wine was amazing in the restaurant & bar. Ambience lovely, very relaxed, beautiful setting. Piano playing in evening & after dinner too. Barber shop in hotel was excellent. It’s worth doing half or full board. Would definitely stay there again. Highly recommend this property.

The perfect end to a 5 week holiday

The facilities were well maintained. Plenty of sun beds both on and off the beach. Exceptionally friendly staff. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

A few things I think they could improve on. There are no power points by the bed to charge phones. The food was a bit hit and miss. We had the best Buffalo and mozzarella salad and the worst ravioli ever. The bar should also be careful to use freshly opened Prosecco as I had an Aperol Spritz made with flat Prosecco.
